Hello, I’m Andy, and welcome to my golf blog! As a passionate, single-digit amateur golfer from Fife, Scotland, I’ve dedicated this site to documenting my own personal golfing journey and to helping fellow amateur golfers pick the best golf equipment for their needs and budget.
My golf story began at the age of 12, but it wasn’t until my mid-20s that the golf bug well and truly gripped me. Now, with a somewhat questionable 7.4 handicap, I’m constantly trying to improve my golf swing and get closer to scratch – that’s the dream anyway. This blog is where my two main passions, golf and technology, collide – a space where you’ll find interesting insights, honest reviews, and thought-provoking articles from the point of view of a fellow golf enthusiast.

My mission: Become a scratch golfer
The primary reason I started this golf blog in 2019 was to share updates on my golf journey with others with openness and full transparency. I’m taking you along with me on this experience as I try to achieve scratch status, as unlikely as it might seem. This isn’t just about endlessly practising in the hope that I’ll get there, though. It’s about analysing and putting to good use the golf performance data I capture whilst playing, learning from the hours of tutorials I watch and lessons I take, and getting the most out of the equipment I own.
